Indian Bullova Fighting Axe of the Chota Nagpur

The Bullova is the traditional fighting axe of the Chota Nagpur aboriginal tribes of central India. 19th century, moustache-shaped head with thick socket gold in layed with decorative fittings surmounted by a sharp ridge , on its hardwood haft with an ornamental brass tip. Head 26cm, overall 90cms. Good condition and patina, hand forged.
