Elkington & Co 19th Century Shield

19th century electrotype of a 16th century Italian Shield by Elkington & Co, circular shield 60cm in diameter depicting various classical battle scenes the quality of which is excellent. This example has not been cleaned and could be if required with a removable central spike no damage just age darkening to the silver plating. Another similar example can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Accession Number: 07.102.7.
