Scottish Officer’s Basket Hilted Sword


Scottish Officer’s Basket Hilted Sword Victorian period no regiment to blade but sold complete with cross guard which would indicate by design that the regiment would have been either Dunbartonshire Rifle Volunteers or The Royal Scots after 1881 when they adopted this form of cross guard. The sword is in super condition basket hilt with fringe, liner and fish skin grip. The blade engraved with VR crown and floral decoration and marked Fraser Bros Fleet Street London. It is complete with parade scabbard rare in the design with 2 loose rings plus leather transit bag with a separate pocket from the cross guard
