Scottish Infantry Officer’s Backsword

Scottish Infantry Officer’s Backsword c 1760 – 1780, good basket pieced with hearts and circles. The pommel with line chiselled decoration and raised tang button complete with leather grip secured by twisted wire. The straight single edged blade is 34.5 inches in length with 2 top fullers running nearly the full length of the blade overall length 40 inches.
