1805 Royal Naval Sword possibly belonging to Midshipman Thomas Morgan H.M.S Sirus which was at Trafalgar. The sword was bought at auction as part of the Contents of Sugwas Court Herefordshire which was the family home of The Morgans. It was sold by Mellor and Kirk auctioneers in 2008 as part of a lot containing 3 naval sword and since then further research has been done which is included with the sword. The sword is regulation 1805 pattern in found condition it has not been cleaned and the scabbard is damaged. There is no way to confirm this was Thomas Morgan’s sword however the fact it came from the family house and is the correct pattern for the time points strongly it is favour.
