French Naval Dirk c 1810

A very elaborate French naval dirk, with decorative brass gilt hilt matching cross guard with anchor to centre. The tapering double edged blade with engraved floral decoration towards the hilt and 35cm in length. The scabbard is black leather mounted with highly embossed mounts the top one with crossed lancers and armour the bottom with sea creatures and floral decoration overall length 47cm
