Prussian 1864 Pattern Infantry Sidearm – 79

Brass one piece grip, with diagonal ribs, beaked pommel, and ‘s’ shaped crossguard marked on one side with an ‘O’ and 1869, on the other an erased number and P.B.7.51.  Steel single edged blade marked with an ‘O’ on one side and ‘Gerb. Weyersberg Solingen on the other.  In its brass mounted black leather scabbard locket marked with an erased number and 79.R.R.1.10. and a crown over cypher, chape alsomarked with a crown over cypher.  Length  556mm  Blade 434mm
