Polish or Hungarian horsemans sword, traditional formed hilt leather bound ribbed hilt with brass decorative back strap and pommel, straight cross guard with large matching langets running both ways. The curved blade is multi fullered which is correct for the blade and style of sword becoming double edged towards tip. The black leather scabbard with brass and what seems to be bronze fittings forming the 2 upper loose rings and securing the lower witting which has an additional ring for use when on horse back The top mount being dated 1651 Overall length 99cm blade 83cm
