Scottish KOSB Officer’s Sword by Wilkinson


Kings Own Scottish Borders Officer’s Sword By Wilkinson number 57093 the blade is engraved with GR V Crown and regimental badge to reverse. The blade is in good condition and the engraving is sharp and maker marked Henry Wilkinson London. Full dress basket hilt with liner and fish skin grip. It is complete with parade scabbard. Wilkinson sword register dates to sword to March 1920 and purchased by Percy James Sparkes Served in the ranks 1910-1917 Commissioned in the field to 2nd Lieutenant 6th battalion from Lance corporal, Captured October 1918 at Halebake POW Captain and Lewis gun instructor British Military Mission Russia 1919-1920 Seconded to Colonial Office 1928-1934 Major 1st Battalion KOSB and regimental depot 1939-1945
