King James 2nd Helmet Headed Plug Bayonet

King James 2nd Plug Bayonet and original scabbard, flamboyant blade engraved with GOD SAVE KING JAMES THE 2 the reverse with large crown. Marker marked both sides below copper inlay. The cross guard looks to have a small age crack in the brass but is very solid complete with leather bound wood scabbard tooled with brass fittings note bottom mount missing. Over all length 44cm the blade 29cm for reference please see item  The Plug Bayonet by Evans No 23 showing a very similar example on the Metropolitan Museum New York.
