A good scarce example Silvered skull decorated with brass thistles; to the front a helmet plate comprising a crowned Garter within thistle sprays; to the centre, the Order of the Thistle Star with central VR Cypher; all resting on thistle spray bearing four part title scroll. Brass fluted spike supports a white regimental pattern horsehair plume. To each side, a brass rose head boss supports the leather backed brass chin chain note stitching loose.
