Victorian Fife Light Horse Officer’s Helmet

A fine silvered Officer’s example. To the front, a regimental pattern helmet plate bearing the Thane of Fife on horseback wearing full armour set against a gilt brass ribbed satire. This in turn mounted onto a four pointed silvered star, the uppermost displaced by a crown. A tri part scroll is with motto and to the centre FLH in gilt metal. Two rose head bosses support a silvered interlinked chin chain, with leather backing. A silvered spike supports a white horsehair plume, with silvered rose boss. The interior is with leather lining.
