British Mk 1 Martini-Henry 1879 Pattern Artillery Carbine

Ordnance issued .450/577 Martini ICI made at Enfield in 1883. RHS lock plate marked with crowned V.R. over Enfield and ICI. LHS with ‘sold out of service’ and repair stamps. Various broad arrow marks on trigger guard , cocking lever, locking indicator, nose piece, barrel bands etc. Rifled barrel marked with proof and inspection stamps plus DP on knox form, carbine ladder sights to 1000yds, front sight with protective wings and the long carbine pattern nose cap and bayonet boss. Walnut stock with roundel, DP (Drill purposes) sold out of service mark, regimental numbers with fore end woodwork also stamped DP. Regulation steel furniture and ordnance marked clearing rod.
