Polish Karabela Sabre 18th Century

Polish Karabela Sabre 18th century with stylised bird’s head hilt with horn grips secured by 3 decorative rivets. The brass cross guard of traditional form with curved line and flower decoration which is repeated on the bottom scabbard mount. The blade again with matching curved line engraved decoration to both side. It is complete with leather bound wooden scabbard with brass mounts. Overall length 89cm blade 74cm
