English Hounslow Hanger c 1640

A very fine English Hounslow Hanger with curved single edged German blade. The all steel hilt with has darkened nicely with age and has matching cross and hand guard with turned decoration. The stag horn grip with central steel insert and pommel cap. The curved blade is excellent with armourer’s stamps and curved lines with dots decoration and notched spine. – blade 57cm overall 71cm
