Duke of Wellingtons 33rd Regiment of Foot Band Sword circa 1800 – 33

Brass one piece grip and cross guard, double Langets and pommel decorated with Lions head with mane going down grip and also on lower part of grip, with a fixed ring in the Lion’s mouth. Cross guard with 33 in its centre, underside of cross guard marked 26. Unmarked steel single fullered single edged blade in its brass mounted black leather scabbard. Loa 668mm Blade 523mm.
