British 1796 Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword by Osborn

British 1796 Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword by Osborn with a variation on the standard hilt. The hilt confirms to the regulations of the time but the guard has a rim and the piercings are larger with diamond shaped reinforcing pieces to the inner face. The back strap is engraved with E /12 I X D and the sword retains is langets. The blade straight with hatchet point and is marked with a B and 1 over a crown. It is complete with original scabbard with the makers name Osborn.
