1788 British Heavy Cavalry Officer’s Sword by Woolley

British 1788 Heavy Cavalry Officer’s Sword by Woolley full basket hilt of regulation pattern with ovoid faceted pommel and extended tang button, the fish skin grip secured by twisted copper wire shows age wear. Flat sided blade single edged becoming double towards the point and engraved with Woolley and Co Birmingham plus crowned GR monogram to each side.
