Silver Mounted 1796 Infantry Officer’s Sword in super condition. Regulation 1796 infantry hilt but in silver no hallmarks but test as silver with matching bound grip. The blade straight double edged with central fuller to the point. It is engraved each side with VIVA VIANA ANNO DEL 77 which is surrounded by a double line border. We are assuming this is an earlier family blade which has been remounted. The black leather scabbard with silver hallmarked mounts the top one engraved with FOSTER WORD CULTER TO HIS MAJESTRY PRINCE OF WALES DUKE OF YORK ST. JAMES STREET
