Scottish Beak Neb Ribbon Hilt Sword

Scottish Beak Neb Ribbon Hilt Sword mid 18th century. This sword has the characteristic beaked form with flat iron bars and original stag horn grip which has age wear and fits nicely in the hand. The wide blade double edged slowly tapering with two short and one central fuller running for 32cm of the blade. It is struck with various marking and GIO KNEGT to one side and Solingen to the reverse. We are assuming the blade was made by Georg Peter Knecht Jr. 1702–1773 dating the sword to mid 18th century Overall length 98cm the blade 85cm
