Martini Action .577 / .450 Presentation Sporting Rifle retailed by Wilkinson No 3841 in it’s oak range case complete with correct bullet mould and various other items. 28-inch barrel with full-length file-cut rib, with platinum-lined folding leaf sights and folding ladder rear please note sight bar missing, the frame and loading lever with fine scroll engraving and retaining some original finish, safety catch, the 14 1/4-inch figured stock with pistol grip and steel butt plate, inlaid to each side with a silver plaque bearing a family crest and engraved Presented by Lord Northwick to W. F. Egerton, sling eyes, the stock impressed with the Wilkinson retailer’s number 7861 and Birmingham black powder proof. Tight action and excellent bore not even sure it has ever been fired.
