German Cavalry Broadsword c 1720 – 1730


German Cavalry or Dragoon Broadsword c 1720 – 1730 – Solid hilt with large shell guard and 3 bars forming the guard, leather bound grip and steel back strap plus langets the rear one formed into thumb loop. Straight heavy single edged blade with small top fuller and spear pint, engraved with moon and sun with floral decoration.
