Georgian Silver Hilted Naval Hanger Hallmarked 1781

Georgian Silver Hilt Naval Hanger Hallmarked 1781 and with makers mark WK for William Kidney. The slotted hilt as stated hallmarked and with a super lion head pommel and bone grip wrapped with silver wire. The blade single edged becoming double edged for the last 20cm, engraved with trophies of arms and floral decoration to both sides. This form of sword or hanger were typical carried by Royal Naval officers in the period 1770 to 1790 overall length 87cm the blade 71cm submission ref VPU8YDYD
