Georgian Officer’s Sword by Gill

Georgian Officer’s Sword by Gill special pattern, with mameluke style hilt with ebony grip secured by gilt brass studs one missing on one side. Large flat cross guard with decoration, the curved blade pip backed and Gill’s warranted within a oval panel and complete with clip point. The gilt brass scabbard with large raised flamboyant mounts and steel shoe showing age wear with the brass showing though but again maker marked Gill’s Soho London. Overall length 40 inches 101 cm the blade 34 inches 86 cm
