Deccan Horse Presentation 1912 Sword by Wilkinson


Deccan Horse Presentation Sword very rare and very similar to the 1912 pattern but with turned over edge and slightly smaller. Complete with cross hatched wooden grip and plain domed pommel. The blade straight single edged etched with Royal crest G V R and foliage plus presentation as follows TO MAJOR H J WALLIS XX DECCAN HORSE FROM ALL RANKS OF THE BOMBAY LIGHT HORSE IN GRATEFUL APPRECIATION OF THREE YEARS DEVOTED AND SKILLED CO – OPERATION WHICH RAISED THE CORPS TO A HIGH LEVEL OF EFFICIENCY MARCH 1918 maker marked Henry Wilkinson Pal Mall London and a turban used as maker mark numbered 56346 complete with field scabbard and sold with a copy of the Wilkinson Sword register.
