British 1887 – 1912 Officer’s Sword

Regulation 1912 hilt with extended special grip fitted to a 1887 cavalry officer’s blade this could be possibly an early experimental version or an officer who wanted to keep his original blade with the introduction of the regulation 1912 sword. Blade maker marked Hawkes and Co and etched with VR and crown complete with field scabbard
