A rare Welsh regiment 2nd Glamorgan Rifle Volunteers Presentation Sword pattern 1854 brass gothic hilt with VR in Cartouche and fish kin grip and white leather sword knot. The blade flat back with single fuller and double edged for the last 10 inches to form spear point. It is etched foliage, bugle and crown with makers details Firmin & Sons Ltd 153 Strand London. The presentation reads as follows Presented to Lieutenant Col. C. J. Nixon Grey 2nd G.R.V by the Mountain Ash Detachment and other Friends July 1881 complete with matching scabbard please note the five dents
