Black chequered grips secured by 5 brass rivets, brass pommel cap and crossguard marked with ‘S’ ( Solingen ) Steel sawbacked blade with a fuller on one side of the blade only, marked with makers name and Swiss cross and no 264 plus date 1878 on the other ricasso. In its brass mounted black leather scabbard.
