German 19th Cent Sidearm made for Kingdom of Siam – 56

Black horn grip with brass ferrule at base. ‘S’ shaped crossguard with pierced and decorated quillons. Back-strap and pommel in silver metal. The pommel in the shape of an Elephants head with upturned trunk. Steel single edged, single fullered blade numbered 794. In its brass mounted black leather scabbard Locket frog shaped and with a Tigers head motif. Length 621mm Blade 492mm.
