Scottish Basket Hilted Broad Sword – ANDRIA FARARA c 1760


Scottish basket hilted broad sword dating to the middle of the 18th century, transitional form hilt with plates are pierced with hearts and circles. The dom pommel with leather bound grip secured by silver wire, straight double edged blade 85cm in length with double central fullers engraved with ANDRIA to one side with armours marks between the letter the reverse with the same marks with FARARA. Please note break in one front bar – overall length 104cm
