Royal Horse Guards 1832 Officer’s Dress Sword

British 1832 pattern Royal Horse Guards Officer’s dress sword in original condition. Regulation elaborately decorated brass hilt and scrolled hilt bars has a small crack that does not go right through see photos. The blade has faint etching a Tudor Rose, crowns, floral designs makers details Hawkes and Co London Manufacture to the Queen also spine stamped Proved. Heavily influenced by contemporary French military swords, these swords were only carried by officers of this elite British Army regiment and very few were ever produced with a very small number surviving.
