Left Handed Dagger – Main Gauche c1700

Left-Handed Dagger late 16th early 17th Century and probably German or Italian. It has a tapering sharply pointed and double edged flattened diamond section blade with square section ricasso. The hilt of heavy solid construction which ensures the dagger is well balanced in the hand and the grip is bound with twisted wire and finished with Turk’s heads. Overall length 38cm / 15in – blade 25cm / 10.75 in
