Irish Walworth Yeomanry Sword

A very rare Walworth Yeomanry sword or hanger in very good condition brass hilt with half shell guard ebony fluted grip with oval brass plate which is engraved Walworth Yeomany. The reverse is numbered 7 Curved single edge blade with small top fuller 60cm in length complete with leather period scabbard with brass fittings hanging ring and frog stud. Notes: The Walworth Yeomanry was a unit of 18 to 20 men from Londonderry. Walworth is just outside Limavady in Ballykelly and used to belong to the ancient guild of the Fishmongers the most famous City fishmonger is Sir William Walworth
