Imperial German Prussian Customs Officers Pickelhaube, black leather shell with brass Prussian eagle helmet plate having a gilt crowned monogram to the centre. Scaled officers brass chin scales with officers pattern cockades. Crossed spike base with star mounts and fluted special pattern spike. Brass spine and front peak trim. Interior retains the original leather sweatband lining.
