Heavy Cavalry 1788 Sword by Gill


Heavy Cavalry 1788 Sword iron hilt consisting of bars forming half basket with D shaped flat knucklebow leading to a four slotted cross guard. Leather grip secured by twisted silver wire and large ovoid pommel. Straight blade single edged becoming double towards the tip with inspection mark to one side 4 and crown the reverse with makers name Gill tight and solid sword in very good condition
