Plated hilt with a ‘TO’ slot, a round steel push button with an internal spring, two piece lined wood grips with an oil hole held by two screwbolts, short plated crossguard with upturned quillion, rear of the crossguard unmarked. Single edge plated steel pipeback blade with no makers mark etched with a floral design above a masted sailing ship, the reverse also etched with a floral design and Kaiserl. II Seebataillon in a blued panel above a masted sailing ship. Black leather scabbard with plated mounts. Brown leather frog.
