German Seitengewhr M1871 Regimental Bayonet

IS M/71 – Lined brass hilt with a T slot, a round steel push button with an external leaf spring held by a screw, S shape steel crossguard with upturned quillion and muzzle ring, rear of the guard engraved with the date 18.6.1897. Single edge steel blade with rounded fullers stamped King & Knights Head above WK&C. with 4 Komp. Inf. Reg. No 35. etched in a panel. Brass mounted black leather scabbard. Brown leather frog.
