Georgian 1796 Officer’s Cavalry Sword belonging to John William Head Brydges Lieutanent Colonel of the Romney Fencibles Cavalry 1794 – 1800 The sword with 90cm curved blade with part blues and with engraved decoration maker marked Gill’s Warranted. The spine marked JWHB, regulation hilt with beck pommel and leather bound grip showing a few small old worm holes. Complete with scabbard which is engraved with family coat of arms and motto Maintien Le Droit. Please note damage to quillon
