French Heavy Cavalry Cuirass – Breast and Back Plate Breast-plate, of steel with a slight medial ridge, rounded flange at the waist, flanged neck and inward-turns to the other main edges. The main edges are bordered by round-headed, brass lining rivets retaining fragments of a canvas lining-band. At either side of the chest is a stud for the shoulder-straps. The exterior with age colour, stamped at the right shoulder ZUDERELL. It is complete with back plate well marked with arsenal and dated 1833 plus size and serial number
