English Silver Hilt Sword Hallmarked 1755

A stunning example hallmarked 1754 – 1755 London plus makers mark G F – George Fayle prominent silver hilt sword maker City of London recorded between 1734 – 1786, overall length 37 inches and with a 29.5 inch colichemarde engraved blade, the hilt, knuckle-bow cast and chased with decoration and the grip bound with silver wire and ribbon. The Shell guards and pommel have excellent detailed high quality pieced decoration.
