English Georgian Naval Officer’s Dirk

English Georgian period Naval Officer’s Dirk with highly decorative gilt brass hilt engraved and influenced in it’s design by the Egyptian Campaign. The cross guard and langets with matching engraving plus owner family crest to rear – an armoured arm embowed holding an arrow. Please note flight damage. The curved blade with faded blue and gilt decoration including trophies of arms and floral patterns. It is contained within matching brass scabbard which is heavily engraved with blank panels to define scabbard fittings plus the reverse with initials H M Overall length 20 inches-51cm the blade 16 inches-41cm
