Edwardian Royal Engineers Officers Wolseley Helmet belonging to H A Ashbrook, Henry Alfred Ashbrook was a British Army officer who served in the Corps of Royal Engineers. He rose from the enlisted ranks to earn a commission as a Quartermaster with the honorary rank of Lieutenant on 14 January 1915 and later achieved the rank of Captain.
