Eagle Headed Five Ball Officer’s Sword

Possible American Naval Artillery officer’s sword please see The American Eagle Pommel Swords by Mowbray for reference page 117 then again could be French Officer’s sword I do not know but the blade maker marked with star and Louis. Gilt brass hilt with eagle head pommel, 5 ball cross guard and ebony grip. The slightly curved blade is plain with makers mark and is contained within black leather with brass mounts, frog stud and 2 loose rings. overall length 93 cm the blade 80cm
