Percussion cavalry pistol issued to the British controlled East India Government E.I.G. The 8 inch barrel has British military proof stamps and is fitted with front and rear sights. The lock is marked with the Victorian crown and the initials E.I.G. It is date stamped 1867 with Birmingham below. The wooden full stock has brass end caps and a trigger guard plus the original lanyard ring and ram rod plus issue cartouche.
