Percussion antique Cased Double Trigger Tranter’s Patent Revolver no licence required within the United Kingdom c 1858 retailed by A Clayton Southampton. Frame engraved with floral decoration and serial number 10568 T, the 6 inch barrel with retails details A. CLAYTON HIGH STREET SOUTHAMPTON. Alfred Clayton had a workshop at 153 High Street, Southampton and in Lymington Hants from 1843-1867 Victorian proofs to frame, barrel and cylinder, action in working order and complete with chequered wooden grips. The case is complete and in good condition with green felt bays and key plus all accessories with the exception of a screwdriver.
