British 1912 Officers Sword by Fenton

WW1 period straight single fullered blade with flat back and spear point 89cm in length. The blade is decorated on one side with the crowned royal cypher for George V, and on the other with the crowned royal coat of arms. On both sides there scrolling foliate designs. On one side there is the makers name in a crest and on the other a engraved proof plus owner initials I B. Plated steel bowl guard heavily embossed with a honeysuckle ladder pattern. Fish skin wrapped grip with brass wire and embossed stepped pommel. Complete with field service knot and scabbard.
