British 1845 Officers Sword by Wilkinson with Patent Tang. Early example number 12332 the Wilkinson sword register states Infty Pat. Tang. Mellor A. Esq. 4 March 1863 no further research has been done, regulation hilt with patent tang ad V R and crown to guard. The blade with nice early engraving with V R and crown plus floral decoration to both sides, makers details, proof plug and the spine numbered.
