British 1796 Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword regulation sword with J J Runkel blade and original hatchet point and langets. Leather bound grip and disk guard which is stamped please see image. The scabbard which does show age wear is engraved with 6 over DG – 6th Dragoon Guards the Carabiners and D over 4 possibly meaning D troop and is complete with two loose rings. This a a totally untouched sword with signs of age wear overall length 40.5 inch the blade 35 inch
