1st Highland Light Infantry Silver Mounted Dirk and Sgian Dubh

1st Highland Light Infantry Silver Mounted Dirk and Sgian Dubh both hallmarked the dirk 1927 and the sgian dubh 1922. They are both marked Regimental Property 1st HLI and the top mounts on each have 71 on them, this was the old regimental number of the Highland Light Infantry which was worn by the pipers. They have both been made in one piece with no blades, probably for reasons of economy but to a very high standard, overall length of the dirk 16.5 inches 42cm the sgian dubh 7 inches 18cm
