Good example of a Scottish Officer’s 1798 Pat Broad Sword, brass basket hilted sword introduced to the Scottish Highland regiments in 1798 and only replaced by the regulation 1828 pattern sword so this pattern of sword was used throughout the Napoleonic War period.
